Are my donations secure?

Yes, we use Stripe to process our donations, which is a commonly used, safe, and trustworthy service.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Yes, $10 is the minimum amount you can donate on Simply Donating.

Is there a maximum donation amount?

There is a $3,000.00 maximum donation amount on our website. If you would like to donate more, please contact us and we will share further instructions for that process.

Are my donations tax deductible?

Yes! Your donations go to 501(c)(3) verified nonprofits and thus qualify for tax deductions. If you have a Simply Donating account, you can log in and find your donation receipts here.

How much of my donation goes to the featured nonprofits?

94.8% of your donation is split evenly among the featured nonprofits within the main cause that you donate to. The remaining 5.2% is used to cover transaction fees (2.2% + $0.30 per transaction) and Simply Donating operations. Compared to other donation platforms, which can take up to 10% service fees, ours is low.

Can I donate without creating an account?

Yes, you are able to donate through Simply Donating as a guest. However, we highly recommend creating an account so that you can easily keep track of your donation history and unlock badges while completing fun achievements.

Does Simply Donating accept corporate donations?

How does Simply Donating work?

We have created a new way to donate where people can contribute to the causes they care about rather than the individual nonprofits. Select a cause, donate, and repeat! Check out this page to learn more about how Simply Donating works.

How does Simply Donating choose the featured nonprofits?

We research and qualify nonprofits based on current ratings, missions/beliefs, and how confident we are supporting the charities. Check out this page to learn more about how the featured nonprofits are chosen.

Why do the nonprofits change every 3 months?

There are many organizations within each main cause. Rotating the charities will give everyone a chance to learn about and support a variety of nonprofits throughout the year.

How do the featured nonprofits receive our donations?

We split the pooled donations evenly among the featured nonprofits within each cause at the end of each cycle and then send a check to each organization.

Can I refund my donation?

If you are not satisfied with your donation, send us an email at [email protected] with your receipt and we will provide a full refund. However, the deadline to request a refund is 11:59 pm PST on the last day of the cycle that your donation was made. Any request with a timestamp after the deadline (according to our inbox) will be respectfully denied.

Why become a Legendary Donor?

Legendary is the highest donor level our members can reach, showing their elite generosity. For achieving this great accomplishment, we will send each Legendary Donor a special t-shirt as a “Thank You!” for impacting so many nonprofits. You will be able to choose one of your unlocked badges to be printed on your shirt!

Why unlock achievements?

It is challenging and fun! See how many badges you can collect while helping good causes at the same time! If you become a Legendary Donor, you get to choose one of the badges you have unlocked to be on the t-shirt we send you as “Thanks!” for your amazing support.

How do I unlock achievements?

You unlock badges when you complete achievements, which is typically done by donating to certain causes a specific number of times. Check out the achievements page to see how you can complete specific challenges.

Why don’t I rank up in donor level for the dollar amount of my donation?

We believe that every donation counts, so donor levels only take the number of donations into account. Every contribution makes a difference.

Will my donations be attributed to my account if I make a donation without logging into my account?

If you use the email in your account profile, then yes, your donations will register as yours if you are not logged into your account! Otherwise, they will not be attributed to your account if you donate while logged out.

Will I complete achievements and unlock badges without an account?

No, an account is required in order to keep track of your donor level, completed achievements, and unlocked badges. If you made donations before making an account and would like to be credited, send us an email after you have made an account and we can award the accomplishments, as long as the emails attributed to the account and donations match.

How do I create a Simply Donating account?

You can create an account by going to this Register page and filling out the required information (username, name, email, and password).

How can I change my password?

You can change your password by going to this page. We will send you an email that gives instructions to reset and change your password.
